Our article titled “Jacketing Solution for Noise Control on Transformers” written by our R&D Chief Suat Sezer ERTAN was published in the January 2024 series of Transformer magazine. Our article includes important engineering studies on how noise can be controlled in transformers and the solutions we offer as Pechom.

Noise control of transformers is possible with the special jacketing system we developed. Jacketing basically means placing a combination of materials specially selected for the project on the tank surface.
Noise cabin or noise wall, which is a traditional noise control method for transformers and reactors, has been used for many years. Pechom's jacketing studies, which have been applied for many years and have achieved successful results, stand out with their innovative and advantageous aspects compared to the traditional methods in the past.
• 10 – 12 dB(A) noise reduction can be achieved
• Does not take up space around the transformer
• Integrated with the transformer, does not require maintenance
• Installation can be done in the factory where the transformer is manufactured
• Installation takes less time than an enclosure or noise wall
• Does not require external transportation during the transportation of the transformer
• Cost is 40% less than other solutions.
