Successful Transformer Acoustic Enclosure Solution for Hitachi Energy
As Pechom, we are proud to announce the successful completion of our project in collaboration with Hitachi Energy in Doha, Qatar. By effectively reducing noise from existing transformers near residential areas, we have created a more comfortable living environment for the surrounding residents.
Project Achievements
We successfully reduced the noise levels from the installed transformers by 15 dB(A), aligning them with the surrounding background noise levels. Our noise reduction guarantee ensures the effectiveness and reliability of the solutions we implemented.
In addition to noise reduction, engineering calculations were made considering Qatar's high temperature conditions. Specially designed silent fans and louvres were integrated into the enclosure to provide ventilation without compromising acoustic performance. This ensured both thermal management and acoustic efficiency, providing a long-term, environmentally sustainable solution.
Project Process and Application Details
Noise Measurements: Frequency-based noise measurements were conducted in accordance with standards to identify the initial noise level of the transformers.
Acoustic Design and Analysis: Based on the data, the acoustic design and frequency-based material combination were determined.
Mechanical Design: An enclosure design was created, considering customer needs and site conditions, ensuring the guaranteed sound performance and maintaining internal temperature.
Installation: Acoustic enclosures and cooling systems were installed by the Pechom assembly team and supervising engineers.
Final Measurement and Reporting: Post-installation noise measurements were taken and the achieved noise level was reported to the customer.
Through the noise reduction we provided in this project, the environmental noise impact of the transformers was significantly reduced using scientifically-based engineering solutions. As a result, the noise level that surrounding individuals are constantly exposed to has been minimized. This solution is a testament to Pechom's advanced engineering capabilities, as well as our environmentally conscious and health-focused approach.
